Eventer Privacy Policy
Eventer SA (“Eventer”, “we”, “us”) operates the Eventer mobile application and the eventer.cc website. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, with whom it is shared, and the rights you have over it.
1. Data we collect
When you sign up, we collect:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your profile picture (optional)
When you use the app, we additionally process:
- Photos and videos you explicitly upload to an event
- Comments, likes and reactions you post
- Your approximate location, only when you explicitly authorize it, to create or join nearby events and display events on a map
- Basic device and usage data (app version, operating system, anonymous analytics about which features are used) to measure performance and improve the service
We do not collect data about you from third parties.
2. How we use your data
- To operate the app: create and manage events, share photos and videos, display guest lists, send event-related notifications
- To send you email notifications, which you can disable at any time inside the app or via the unsubscribe link in each email
- To maintain, secure and improve the application, in aggregated and non-identifying form
3. Who can see your content
- Photos, videos and comments you add to an event are only visible to the guests of that same event
- Your name and profile picture appear in the events you participate in (guest list, comments, likes, contributed media)
- The event organizer can moderate or remove content within their event and can exclude a guest
4. Data sharing with third parties
We do not sell, rent or transmit your personal data to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes. Data may only be processed by our infrastructure providers (such as Amazon Web Services for hosting and storage) strictly to operate the service, under appropriate data protection agreements.
5. Data retention and deletion
You stay in control of your data:
- Individual photos, videos and comments you posted can be removed directly in the app
- To delete your entire account and all associated data, open your profile, tap “Privacy” at the bottom right and follow the instructions (step-by-step tutorial). All your data and content will be permanently removed within 24 hours.
6. Your GDPR rights
If you are a resident of the European Union, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:
- Right of access to your personal data
- Right of rectification
- Right of erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
- Right to restrict processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Belgium: the Autorité de protection des données)

7. Children
Eventer is not directed to children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 17. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS in transit, access control and encrypted storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to minimize risks and respond promptly to any incident.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published at this URL, with an updated effective date.
